ARA KOCHARYAN
Ara Kocharyan started professional acrobatics at 6 years old in Krasnodar, Russia. At 8 years old he received the title of Master of Sports. Since 2007, he has danced at many prestigious competitions, on a regional and national level. He received a status of Champion of Russia and a Champion of Southern Federal District. In 2008, he started his career as a choreographer and his choreography has been recognized with national and international awards. In 2014, Ara was selected among professional dancers to work in Moscow under the direction of American choreographers such as Daniel Ezralow, Michael Cothren Peña, Yasmine Lee and Tyler Gilstrap. On February 7, 2014, he took part in the opening ceremony of Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Currently, Ara lives in New York City and teaches the Boys Dance and Fitness Program at Brighton Ballet Theater.
