Mission

Brighton Ballet Theater was created to preserve and further the tradition of classical ballet and folk dance in New York City and foster unification through dance. BBT serves as a cultural oasis, keeping children off the street and bringing them into a world where imagination takes flight and all cultures flourish together. Through our dance program, thousands of students learn ethnic dances from various regions of the world while sharing rich traditions and customs with each other.

Goals

  • to provide an AFFORDABLE and PROFESSIONAL dance education and performance opportunities to all students, regardless of talent, ability or ethnic background;
  • to serve as a community cultural oasis
  • to create a common ground through dance so children of many ethnic and immigrant communities can interact and study other cultures through classical ballet and folk dances

By adhering to these goals, BBT hopes to mold and develop responsible, well-rounded, passionate individuals who have the potential to succeed in any field. Our uniquely designed program raises students that are both physically and mentally healthy, with an understanding of a number of different cultural backgrounds.
