Brighton Ballet Theater. School of Russian Ballet Brighton Ballet Theater was created to preserve and further the tradition of Russian classical and folk dance in New York City. The goals of BBT are:

to provide an AFFORDABLE and PROFESSIONAL dance education and performance opportunities to all students, regardless of talent, ability or ethnic background;

to serve as a community cultural oasis;

to create a common ground through dance so children, of many ethnic and immigrant communities can interact and study other cultures through classical ballet and folk dances

By adhering to these goals, BBT hopes to mold and develop responsible, well-rounded, passionate children who have the potential to succeed in any field. ANASTASSIA NIKITINA

From 1991 to 2000, Anastassia Nikitina studied ballet at the renowned Moscow Ballet Academy of Bolshoi Ballet under the supervision of Professor G. Lediah. While there, she performed as a soloist dancer at several performances in Russia. In the Spring of 2000, she was awarded a certificate.

Anastassia has participated in a variety of dance festivals and performances including the International Gregorich Ballet Competition in the Ukriaine; the International Ballet Festival in Budapest, Hungary; the International Ballet Competition in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2001, Anastassia was invited to understudy at the Kremlin Classical Ballet Company in Moscow, Russia. Additionally, she danced with the Moscow Classical Ballet Company in a dance tour of Beijing and Shanghai, China.

Since March 2003, she has been a Dance Performer and Instructor at Ballet Long Island. Anastassia has danced as a soloist for several BBT/Russian American Ballet Company performances for the past two years.
